Ciara found the ultimate love in Russell Wilson after a bad break-up with rapper Future. Not only did Wilson come into her life and uplift her, but he’s also become a father figure to her son Future Jr. Russell is very hands-on with their kids and seems to be an incredible father despite some backlash from people who think he is trying to replace Future Jr.’s biological dad.
Back in 2020, The Wilsons got some heat from fans who did not like that Russell called himself “daddy” in a birthday post for their eldest son. In the video he shared of himself and Future swimming, Russell thanked the boy for being his best friend and daily inspiration. “I thank Jesus every day for who you are & being able to lead & guide you.” He ended the touching post with “Happy 6th Birthday Future! Daddy loves you! .” In the comments, people fully supported him stepping up and being a father figure to the boy. “I love this. Such a blessing to have a husband that treats your child in a respectful manner as he would treat his own.” Others knew the post was likely to upset Future Sr., saying, “Future punching the air .”
Whatever Russell and Ciara are doing, they are doing it wonderfully as young Future has already displayed a number of talents. His mother, Ciara, is known as one of the top dancers in the business, and her son has taken after her a bit. She frequently shares videos of them dancing together, including one viral post from December of 2021. In the clip, you see her son sitting on the floor rapping to the camera while mommy danced. He then joined her in a second clip where they danced in green pajamas and made silly faces.
Future also takes from his parents’ musical talents as well. Mom posted a video praising the young man for his impressive piano skills. “He’s a natural. He learned two hand after one week of being taught,” Ciara wrote in her caption. “Proud, mommy. Gods Child.” He played a riff of Cory Asbury’s “Reckless Love.” Russell commented on the post, saying, “Our baby boy is growing! #GodisGood!”
